Jio Fiber - My experience and other details you might want to know.

As everyone waited so long for Jio Fiber to disrupt the market and take away the majority share of broadband users, nothing of that sort happened. Jio Fiber plans are nothing short of a disappointment. I waited eagerly for the launch of Jio Fiber plans on 3rd anniversary of Jio but plans are nothing spectacular. Many local broadband providers offer no FUP limits with decent speeds at a price lower than that of Jio Fiber. The advantage Jio Fiber has is the other services that it offers along with broadband however, the fixed line is of not much use in this era of free calls available in every mobile plan (started by Jio itself). we should see if other services like OTT (not mentioned what exactly are provided), live TV etc; would be worth the extra money charged by Jio.

And moreover, you cannot get a connection easily. You need to register on their website and it is simple till here. After registration, begins a complex process of installation for your whole building, yes whole building. You need to get atleast 40% of those living in the building to begin the installation process which takes 2-4 days. After your building is ready it is then again a simple process for now. Pay your security deposit of Rs. 2500/- and get a wire pulled to your home from the point they installed earlier in your building. For now (24/9/2019) the preview offer is still in place and you can enjoy free internet. The speeds are ok through wifi (40-60mbps) as only 2.4Ghz router is provided for Rs. 2500/- and good with direct LAN connection (85-95mbps). I was informed about being provided a 4k set top box once the plans are rolled and applicable to users oficially.

I am using Jio Fiber for a week and no issues till now. Looking forward to know if plans are actually beneficial compared to local service providers.

Trouble Downloading Torrents directly? Don't worry I got a good alternative for you.

Are you annoyed for not being able to download your torrent through a torrent client directly or is downloading from torrent client slow or is it blocked by your ISP?
If Yes then I got a good alternative to torrent client for you. Seedr is a cloud based torrent client which requires you to give a magnet link/ upload torrent file which downloads your torrent to their cloud and you can download it privately from there.

You get to start with 2 GB and there are ways you can earn free storage through inviting your friends or posting it on twitter. (It is limited though, still you can increase your storage and download files upto 7 GB if you do all in "Earn free storage" option to increase data.)

Go to Seedr here.
